Our Curriculum
About
VRIKSHA’s curriculum combines the best elements of various theories of early childhood development. It draws liberally from Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences to provide a stimulating environment of learning and discovery suited to each child’s strengths and needs. The curriculum is also inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, which places importance on the relationships between the children, with the family, with the teachers, with the school environment, with the community and the wider society.
Our curriculum is a fine blend of Reggio Emilia’s Project based approach, Play way method and Inquiry based learning. It helps children explore and express themselves through many languages – art, music, movement, drama, writing, storytelling, puppets, clay, pure play, gardening etc. The lesson plans also actively support interaction among kids from different programmes / age groups.
Further our curriculum is inspired by the core VRIKSHA philosophy ‘ROOTS TO FRUITS’ –draw strength from our roots to nurture future Indian citizens. The curriculum is inspired by India’s rich cultural heritage and unrivalled tradition of learning in pursuit of excellence. It raises a sense of pride and belonging in the child to the Indian milieu and mother earth.
Kids graduating from VRIKSHA would have a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning and discovery..

I am glad we chose Vriksha as a start to our daughter’s education experience. Very positive, friendly environment, neat, clean, hygienic place. She adores her teachers and loves her school. The teachers are very caring and try their best to give attention to every child. What more a parent of a 2.5 year old kid ask for – than to know she is loved and cared for at school

Vriksha has been a journey for Ayanna and equally for us as parents, we started from the day when dropping Ayanna to school was a challenge every day, she used to cry a lot, now we have reached the stage when she loves to go to school so much that she even wants to go on holidays. This change has been because of the love and affection she gets in school from her teacher and overall positive environment.

The overall experience is priceless and can’t really be put into a few words. It has been very positive and has been so much a part of our lives that it is difficult for us now to move on. Vriksha lets the child be…very important in this age. They unnecessarily do not force the child to behave in a certain manner just on the name of rules and protocols. Yet they ensure that the child is nurtured well. Vriksha has helped my child become more independent. It has also helped him in his studies substantially. Thirdly, Kavish looks forward to go to school and comes back happy every day.
